Until I spoke with Michael this morning I had not realized that people, my friends, family might miss reading my blog. Actually they do not "miss" it but rather might miss news about me and my life in Tel Aviv. I have simply been so busy with the gallery's new website and with our Facebook pages that I did not have the energy and the discipline to sit and write also on my weebly blog. And this while I enjoy so much doing it! So thank you Michael. This one is for you. Thank you for telling me that you actually read my blog and follow me here. Thank you for reminding me how much I love writing my blog and sharing my new life with those dear to me. Thank you for making it obvious that not everyone is on Facebook. Thank you for being there after so many years....
When I logged in I realized that I still had a draft waiting to be edited and published.. since november... when I returned from a week in the Netherlands. I have published it today with pictures of my kids, family and friends I saw there. A lot has happened since....
At the gallery:
Excellent december month but very weak january, february and march. This gave us the opportunity to think, plan and prepare for the coming season which we expect to be busy, starting with Pessah (Passover) and Easter. We also have a new website with a shop on line.. still waiting for the forst order but it 'll come!
At home:
Stephane and I enjoy our new appartment very much. It is a little bit smaller than the other one but much nicer. Better location, more light and a great view! We can even see the sea! The shuk hakarmel (fruit & vegetable & everything else market) is only 200 meters away and the beautiful neighboorhood of Neve Tsedek is only five minutes walk. Perfect!
Visitors:
First of Charlotte was here for three weeks!!!! It was so wonderful and time went by much too quickly. We had planned to do many things and we did most of them even though I had the feeling that we did not. We went to Jerusalem, to a dance performance at Suzanne Dellal, to dinner at suzana, shopping, beach, day in the north with our cousins from Beer Sheva. Charlotte even took some hebrew lessons! It is always so hard to see her leave again...
My friend Raymonde was here for a few days... family business... I enjoyed spending time with her. She is my best friend since I was 14 years old!
My father came right after Raymonde left. Alone because my mother sadly does not feel fit enough to travel. He spent here 8 days and I believe that he enjoyed every minute of it! He met with old friends, visited the gallery a few times. I took him to yaffo and we also met with the family. I cherished these moments with him, real quality time. It was important for me that he saw, felt and understood why I came back to Israel and how happy I am living here with Stephane doing all we can to make our life and the gallery a success. I hope that next time my mother will be fit enough to come along with him.

I returned to Tel Aviv after having spent a week in Belgium/Holland. Saw my friends, family and most of all my kids!!! Spoiled them a little but it was actually spoiling myself with their presence. I miss them very very much!!! Charlotte will be here for three weeks in January... can't wait! And Gerald will try to find a week this spring in his oh so busy schedule!
