Tel Aviv... A normal day...

Just woke up, opened the shades and discovered a beautiful blue sky. It is Tel Aviv almost 9am. Rockets are falling in Beer Sheva. Israeli soldiers are fighting in Gaza and I am getting ready for a normal Sunday in Tel Aviv. Here Sunday is the first day of the week. People pick-up a warm cup of coffee from one of the hundreds coffee shops in the city before heading to work. Since I work for a Dutch Company this is a free day for me. My first appointment is at 10.30 at the Ministry of Absorption. I hope it will not take too long so that I can enjoy the rest of the day strolling on the "tayelet" - promenade - sit for a cup of coffee, read the newspaper. Stephane and I will also probably go to the "shoek ha karmel" - market in order fill up our fridge with fresh fruits and vegetables. Later we will meet with our Belgian friends - Brigitte and Doron. They return to Brussels tonight. A normal day in Tel Aviv. Except that the TV is on almost 24/7... We do not want to miss any news about the war. I will call my family in Beer Sheva to make sure they're alright. Yesterday I checked where the nearest shelter is located. Now I know and I can just go on with my normal Sunday in Tel Aviv.
